Sarvodaya

Location: Delhi

Project Type: Maximalist Residence

With Sarvodaya, Bottega Di Lusso has crafted a residence that serves as a definitive benchmark for opulent living in the capital. This project is an immersive journey through Indian-flavoured Maximalism, where the weight of history is balanced by a daring, contemporary sense of drama.

Every room is a curated exhibition of texture, fine art, and the spirit of colonial grandeur.

The Grand Arrival: A Statement in Heritage

The Foyer - Fluted wood paneling in deep walnut tones is punctuated by vivid red silk wall panels featuring a gallery of framed Indian miniatures.

Design Accents - A large, ornate gold-leaf mirror reflects a bespoke console upholstered in a vibrant red and gold floral textile, grounded by a sophisticated stone floor with a dark perimeter inlay.

The Great Room: Scale and Symmetry

The Feature Wall - A monumental, undulating dark wood wall serves as the room's heartbeat, featuring built-in niches that house a curated collection of artisanal vases and pottery.

Illumination - Twin multi-tiered crystal chandeliers descend from a ceiling defined by heavy dark wood rafters, casting a shimmering glow over the layered Persian rugs below.

Seating Curation - We paired neutral, high-backed sofas with eclectic, floral-patterned armchairs, creating a space that feels both grand for entertaining and intimate for conversation.

The Private Study: The Warmth of Terracotta

Wall Finishes - The walls are finished in a tactile terracotta lime-wash, providing a vibrant backdrop for high-performance Indian paintings and a gallery of classical portraits.

Woodwork - Floor-to-ceiling dark wood bookshelves and a herringbone-patterned timber floor ground the room in academic luxury.

Textile Play - A leather executive chair is surrounded by a mix of pinstriped and floral armchairs, perfectly embodying the "Bottega mix."

The Noir Lounge: Gothic Sophistication

For the estate’s private lounge and media room, we embraced a darker, more "Gothic" aesthetic.

Materiality - The walls are a triumph of texture - one side featuring leather paneling with brass stud detailing, the other a dark, relief-patterned surface that adds incredible depth.

Furniture - Deep blue velvet Chesterfield sofas and a matching daybed with gold finials offer a luxurious contrast to the dark, moody atmosphere.

The Hearth - A dark, intricately carved fireplace mantel is topped with a classical equestrian painting, flanked by crystal wall sconces that provide a soft, atmospheric light.

The Transit & The Finer Details

The Hallway - Movement through the home is an experience in itself, featuring a dark wood-paneled ceiling, a marble-clad staircase with a sweeping banister, and a long marble runner inlay that guides the eye through the corridor.

The Powder Room - Even the most private spaces are elevated. A fluted glass vessel sink sits atop a deep blue vanity, set against a backdrop of metallic-veined tiles and a dramatic gold-framed mirror.

Sarvodaya is more than a home; it is a legacy project. It represents the perfect collision of Delhi’s stately heritage and Bottega Di Lusso’s unapologetic maximalist vision.
